KELLEY BLUE BOOK RECOGNIZES FOUR HYUNDAI MODELS AS TOP ECO-FRIENDLY CARS
FOR EARTH DAY 2017

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., April 19, 2017 - Ahead of Earth Day 2017, Hyundai's 2017 Sonata Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) models and 2017 Ioniq Hybrid and Electric models have been recognized by Kelley Blue Book as some of the top eco-friendly vehicles on the market. Both the Sonata and Ioniq were included in the Top 10 Best Hybrid Cars under $40,000, while the Sonata PHEV and Ioniq Electric were recognized as top five at the same price point in their respective categories.

Kelley Blue Book recognized the Sonata and Ioniq Hybrid models for driver experience and performance, highlighting the Sonata’s interior as "one of the segment’s best designed and most practical," while it commended the Ioniq for its class-leading efficiency, as well as handling and braking. The Sonata PHEV’s leading warranty was recognized in its ranking and the company also highlighted the affordability for the all-electric Ioniq.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 9, 2017 - The 2017 Hyundai Sonata has been awarded the U.S. News & World Report accolade for "Best Midsize Car for the Money," making this the second time and three years a Hyundai vehicle has won the award. The Sonata's nomination was shared by 18 other foreign and domestic midsize sedans in one of the industry's most competitive fields.

The publication recognized the Sonata for its impressive quality and versatility, highlighting its spacious interior and noted that "usable technology litters the Sonata's lengthy list of standard and optional features." FIESTY ENGINES, FRIENDLY TRANSMISSION CHOICES
Thrust comes from a 1.6-liter, Gasoline Direct Injection, Dual Overhead Cam, 16-valve, inline-4 engine, but you choose whether or not it also includes a turbocharger. HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA REPORTS SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF RECORD SALES

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 4, 2017 – Hyundai Motor America today announced its seventh consecutive year of record U.S. sales of 775,005 units, an increase of 1.75 percent. For the month of December, sales were down 1.9 percent.

Hyundai Division posts sales of 60,572 units in December
"As consumer confidence surged in December, to the highest level in more than a decade, we were able to capitalize on that and set a new record for sales in 2016," said Derrick Hatami, vice president of national sales for Hyundai Motor America.

The SUV/CUV segment led the charge for Hyundai with Tucson setting not only a record in December, but also for the year, with sales up four percent for the month and 41 percent for the year. Combined sales of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport were up 14 percent for the month, making it the best Santa Fe December ever, while also achieving double digit growth on the year.

Genesis Division posts sales of 1,733 units in December
"The G90, a finalist for North American Car of the Year, saw sales move up 26 percent over the previous month, as dealer inventory continues to improve," said Erwin Raphael, general manager of Genesis in the U.S. market. "The brand overall was up 33 percent and we look forward to building upon that momentum in 2017."
